You don’t have to be a scuba diver to enjoy Bonaire snorkeling. Snorkeling is one of the most exciting Bonaire activities that more than 50% of Bonaire’s visitors, regardless of age or skill level, partake in.
Since all our Bonaire vacation rentals are on or near the ocean, you can start viewing what’s beneath the waves almost as soon as you arrive. Because salt water is denser than fresh water, you’ll quickly find that you can float higher and easier on the water here than in pools or lakes at home—a better snorkeling experience awaits!
Assisted tours that lead you directly to the most scenic sites are available. Visitors from Renee’s Snorkeling Trips have taken pictures of sea wildlife ranging from Brittle Sea Stars and Sea Turtles to Pufferfish, Squid, Spotted Eagle Rays and different kinds of Octopus.
A guided snorkeling tour at Bonaire Dive and Adventure is another option. Their program also includes a computer presentation about things you may see on the reef and an option to travel to Klein Bonaire, a smaller island half a mile away.
Both tours offer snorkeling at night, which is a great way to revisit a snorkeling location you’re familiar with and see nocturnal creatures you might not have viewed during the day.
